Profitmaker’s Optimiser means better margins for Windowstyle UK Ltd
Windowstyle UK, the fabricating arm of the Style Group is enjoying the rewards of introducing Profitmaker’s Bar and Glass Optimisation module. Paul Jagger, Software Developer at Windowstyle UK explains: “All our PVC-U and glass batches are sent through an optimisation process which calculates a cut pattern which generates the fewest off-cuts. Where there are off-cuts, they’re stored and re-used in following batches. It keeps waste to a minimum and improves our margins."
The Profitmaker Bar and Glass Optimiser integrates into the manufacturing process. Designed for both linear and area materials, it lends itself to all processes during window fabrication. And it can generate reports and link to machining centres.
Paul Jagger gives an example: “Profitmaker’s software also ensures glass is taken off the cutting table in the reverse order to which the bar benders present the bars. So the last piece off the table has the right spacer bar ready to be processed through the wash and to the sealer. Each piece of glass is given a label which also contains a barcode for tracking, so we know exactly where it is in the factory.”
“The Profitmaker Bar and Glass Optimiser is one of the many parts of the Profitmaker Office system that streamline window manufacture,” says Mike Nagle, Sales and Marketing Director of Profitmaker.
